Engineering Director
This senior leadership position will play a key role in maintaining and extending Wavestream’s technical dominance in the solid state power amplifier market. Leveraging our patents in the areas of spatial power combining and active denial, the Engineering Director shall provide leadership and direction in the establishment, development, and delivery of our product roadmap.
Our rapid growth has generated a requirement for an Engineering Director who can provide leadership and technical vision, create an organizational structure, and to establish product development methodologies necessary to manage the challenges associates with this growth today and for the future.
The Engineering Director will manage the day-to-day operation of the engineering organization providing electrical, mechanical, and RF hybrid microelectronics engineering, and product development and quality enhancement for the Wavestream product suite.
This position requires extensive knowledge and expertise in the design and manufacture of solid state power amplifiers for satellite communication applications, and the application of RF engineering techniques and approaches. The successful candidate will have an undergraduate and/or graduate degree in Electrical Engineering, RF Engineering, or a closely related discipline, and will have at least ten years experience leading engineering organizations to timely and comprehensive results.

Sr. RF Design Engineers
Our exponential growth has created an immediate need for Senior RF Engineers Wavestream to design and develop next generation solid state power amplifiers and related products for mission critical satellite communication systems.
Qualifications for this position include a minimum of 5 years of design experience in the area of high power-solid state amplifier design, including the transition from design to production. Positions require a strong background in waveguide systems and components, microwave circuits and systems, and a familiarity with microwave CAD tools, such as HFSS and AWR. Ph.D. with significant research in related areas is preferred.

Product Managers
Growth and diversity of our product lines has created new requirements for Product Managers to interact with customers, partners, sales, marketing, operations, and service to understand market needs and deliver products that build upon our leading market presence. This role is responsible for managing the short and long term product strategies and engineering activities for the product line’s life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities during its production phase. Determines and specifies R&D projects, sustaining engineering projects, and other engineering-related activities required for current and future products based on top-level requirements. Translate customer requirements into technically feasible and performance driven product requirements. Define and manage new product introductions and launch and manage existing products through their lifecycle.
This position requires a balance of technical and marketing skills. A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and an MBA are preferred. Requires a minimum of 5 years experience in product management of high tech products, with a strong preference for candidates with a background in satellite communication products. Also requires product management expertise in the areas of research, requirements validation, product requirements, feature prioritization, positioning, and pricing strategies. Superior analytical, written communication and presentation skills are required. Experience in international markets is preferred.
